Privacy Notice

TimeGlimp is designed to be simple and privacy-friendly. We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't track you across the web.

What we collect

When you search for a year, we store the year and the generated content in our database so that future visitors can load it instantly without repeated AI generation. This data is not tied to any personal identifier.

Third-party services we use

TimeGlimp relies on a small number of external providers to run the site. Each one may receive your IP address and standard browser information as a technical necessity when your browser makes a request:

  • Lovable — hosting and delivery of the website, plus aggregated, cookie-free visitor statistics (such as page views) that are not used to identify individuals.
  • Supabase — the database and file storage that hold the cached year summaries and generated illustrations.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google's font servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com).
  • Google AI models (via the Lovable AI Gateway) — used to generate the year summaries and illustrations. Only the requested year is sent; no information about you is included.
  • Google Search Console — the site includes a verification tag for search indexing. It sets no cookies and collects no data from visitors.

We do not use advertising networks, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking tools.

Local storage

If you choose to save your birth year, it is stored only in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and is not shared with us or any third party.

Cookies & analytics

TimeGlimp does not set any cookies of its own, and we use no advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Visitor statistics are aggregated and cookie-free. The only data stored in your browser is the optional birth year described above. Basic server logs (including IP addresses) may be kept by our hosting and database providers for security and operational purposes only.
